About Us
Pound Hill Pre-School is a registered charity which has been established for over 50 years. The Pre-School currently employs 14 dedicated and hardworking practitioners who all contribute to creating a safe learning environment that is fortified with enriched experiences that encompass the voice of the child in addition to meeting the needs of all attending children and their families. We are a fully inclusive community group managed by a committee of volunteers/ parents.
Admissions
We aim to provide a placement for all children on our waiting list once a space becomes available. All children stay on our waiting list until they inform us they no longer require a space or their child is school age. We hold play visits for children joining the Pre-School in the weeks before starting. If you would like to register, please download and print our registration form (see below) or ask at the Pre-School for a copy, this can be returned either via email or in person at the setting.
Fees
Every child is entitled to 'Nursery Education funding' the term after their 3rd birthday, with some being entitled to an additional 15 hours giving them a total of 30 hours funding to use at the Pre-School. We also accept both Local Authority 2 year old funding as well as the working families 2 year funding.
Currently our fees for non-funded children are £5.50 per hour for over 3's and £6 per hour for 2 year old's (this is reviewed annually).
Uniforms
Uniforms are available for the children consisting of a T-shirt and Sweatshirt. This saves the children's own clothes getting too messy! Pound Hill Pre-School has an excellent garden so we strongly advise that children attending wear appropriate clothing and footwear (clearly named please!). We provide aprons for messy play but we advise that children wear uniform - or old clothes. If you would like to purchase any uniform, please download a uniform form and hand to a member of staff along with payment.
Parental Involvement....
To all parents and carers! Please support us by joining our Committee as without a committee the Pre-School cannot operate, please speak with Katy or Caroline if you would like to join the committee. We also hold several different fundraisers throughout the year so your support with these will be greatly received.
